Snow day!

Dreams

Had a bit of a neat dream last night:
I was at my back door and saw a cat sitting in the yard through the glass. I went outside and found there were many cats. I went around trying to pick them all up and bring them inside so they would be taken care of. I went to the far corner of the yard trying to get a black &  white cat but he was up on a hill of dirt and wouldn't come down. He just sat there. I was standing next to a chainlink fence and there was a pretty orange kitty on the other side.
The kitty was walking back and forth and I reached through the links to scratch his head and he was purring. He turned and walked off toward his house. I turned around to pick up a small tabby cat. Then I heard my mother call out to me to come see the "Dream Cat". I came back near the door and handed her the tabby. There she was, a beautiful little black cat, sitting a few feet from me. Her eyes bright and open, just looking at me. I didn't know why mom had called her a "Dream Cat" until I took a step toward her. She kept sitting there and she opened her third eye! The cat had 3 eyes. She let me come over and pick her up. I held her as she opened and closed her three eyes. I brought her back to the house. She was a very sweet kitty. I set her down and went to get cat food to feed her and all the other cats outside.
Then I woke up.

Old photos

Do you love seeing old photos of family members? I do! I love going through all those things... even if I have no idea who they are, I suppose if we have the photos it means they were SOMEONE in the family!

 Now I'm not saying I don't know who any of these are - if fact I know who the majority of the ones in these photos are(Especially the ones of my own adorable mother!)

Latest mission: Family History!

It's always been something that I've been interested in, my family history. I finally bought a one month subscription to Ancestry and spent it getting every scrap of info on my family and my husband's family that I could. Going through it all is quite exhausting! But thanks to websites like Ancestry and Find a Grave I have found a lot of people I was looking for.

Iron Maiden

So it appears I see a lot of shows :P
One day I might even take a picture of all my concert tickets... or at least the ones I can find.

Finally saw Iron Maiden for the first time! I think it was one of the biggest show shows I've seen. They had a ton of props, backdrops, fire... it was spectacular! They complained the venue was too small though, they had 10 semi trucks full of stuff and one wasn't even unloaded! Still a great time. I was back on the grass, but I brought a camera with a great zoom :D

Took a lot of blurry photos - but many came out good as well. Got some video too - like this one during "The Trooper"

The Dreaming

Yay!! I got to see The Dreaming play here and not in Denver! Oh man they are awesome. The lead singer was the singer for Stabbing Westward. I've been a huge fan of SW for YEARS and when I learned of The Dreaming I was super giddy. He's an amazing singer and the music is sooo good!!!

More on the wildfires...

Smoke, not clouds

It got extremely worse on the 26th. Goodbye Flying W Ranch. I'm praying for the people who lost the 340+ homes, and the family of the person they found in the ruins of one of those homes. I thought we were doing so well with 0 injuries/fatalities :( Sad indeed.

God Bless the Firefighters who are working so hard

Ash was coming down all over town!

Some of the good new though - fire is at 15% containment and the 18,500 acres is down to 16,500. They got 10% containment in 1 day! Fight on! I hope & pray it doesn't reach Woodland Park.
